Easter Eggs in Comics: Thor Meets Superman ... and Doesn't Know It

Welcome to another installment of Easter Eggs in Comics! Click here for the archive!

I got the first book of THOR VISIONARIES: WALT SIMONSON in the last few months, and it's been an enjoyable treat. If it fails on any level, it's just because I read JACK KIRBY'S FOURTH WORLD OMNIBUS before it, which is just an unfair standard for anyone to live up to.

Anyway, in THOR #341, Nick Fury helps out Thor and fakes a new identity for him. However, Fury knows that they have some hurdles to overcome concerning Thor's imposing physical presence. So he comes up with a ... familiar solution.

Thor tries them on and then promptly runs into the Clark Kent and Lois Lane of the Marvel Universe.

Obviously, in the Marvel Universe, Clark Kent still exists; he just doesn't become Superman!
