I Really Want to Read This: THE ADVENTURES OF UNEMPLOYED MAN

THE ADVENTURES OF UNEMPLOYED MAN (official site) written by Erich Origen and Gan Golan and drawn by a bunch of artists (including the one and only Rick Veitch) looks like a really fun satire of superheroes in light of the current economic crisis. You've got a superhero named Unemployed Man, who lives in a cave called Rock Bottom, and with fellow heroes like Wonder Mother (who fights for working mothers everywhere) and Master of Degrees (a perpetual graduate student who explains the subtext of a scene as it's going on), he fights villains like the Human Resource and the Man!

Seriously, it looks really fun. I get that for some, the joke may get old after a few pages, so it's probably best that it's only 80 pages long.

Check out a pretty damn sweet preview here, where Unemployed Man fights against Super Lotto.
