Neal Adams Is Awesome

Comic Book Resources is doing a list of the 75 most memorable DC moments of all time. Over at number 18, we have this moment when Batman confronts Ra's Al Ghul, as scripted by Denny O'Neil and drawn by Neal Adams.

Adams draws the living hell out of this moment, and it's a moment I just want to share, because I mean, look at that.

Anyone who thinks Adams' art is great should pick up Batman: Odyssey. It's like All-Star Batman and Robin, except not ridiculously stupid. It's got great art, and if you're not a stickler for how Batman should be portrayed, it's a really really good comic.

I like Miller's All star B&R, but I wouldn't want it in the Continuity.

Odyssey is GREAT, I loved the first issue.

That Ra's scene that you posted, makes me wonder even more about the Ra's one shot coming up.

I actually like ASBAR from a certain perspective - the perspective that it's really funny. I think it's intentionally funny; I don't want to think of the implications about Miller if it were meant to be serious.

A lot of people are complaining about Odyssey, but I feel like these people are the people who are like "WHAT! Why isn't Batman acting the way he has in the main comics for the last 20 years! This sucks!" Nitpicking and being unable to actually enjoy the story.

I think the last moment from that story on CBR's list is going to be the one where Bruce makes out with Talia.
